About Us
Founded in 2001 Antropy, Inc. is a boutique Information Technology consulting group based in Los Angeles. Antropy provides a wide variety of Information Technology services to a diverse set of clients ranging from small offices to corporations with multiple locations across the nation. Antropy focuses on servicing small and medium sized organizations either providing all the services of a traditional IT department for an organization without an internal staff or working with an organization’s in-house IT department to provide expertise, additional support, and holiday coverage. Clients include accounting firms, private K-12 schools, entertainment companies, non-profits, law firms, and medical practices.
David Girdner – Co-Founder and Managing Partner
David has been supporting, designing, and implementing information technology solutions for nearly 20 years. In addition to the responsibilities of running the day to day operations of a growing IT services firm, David works with small and mid-market businesses, non-profits, and private schools to define and execute strategic technology initiatives. David has a proven track record of assessing and remedying both technology and personnel issues. David is currently serving as IT director for two Antropy clients. In these roles, David manages the internal IT staff, provides hands systems and network support, and works with the organizations’ executive teams to ensure IT is aligned with and meets the organizational needs and goals. David is also working with numerous Antropy clients with migration from on premises servers to hosted “cloud” solutions such as Office 365.
David is an active member, and former board member, of the Los Angeles chapter of the Information Systems Security Association, holds certifications from Microsoft and Citrix, and earned a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American Society for Quality. David graduated from UCLA with a B.A in Economics with minors in Computer Science and Labor and Workplace Studies.
Jody Marc Cohn – Co-Founder and Senior Consultant
With over 25 years working in Information Technology, Jody has implemented and managed a vast array of IT solutions. Recent projects include redesigning a Cisco based network for a 500 student private high school and building a virtualized environment to test Disaster Recovery for a midsized accounting firm. Jody currently serves as IT director for a medical clinic which operates as a joint venture between USC and LA County. In this role Jody is the liaison between the various parties and works with the IT departments of both USC and LA County.
Prior to founding Antropy, Jody had nearly 15 years’ experience managing enterprise class networks, delivering robust technology solutions, and mentoring IT staff. Before venturing into the technology consulting field, Jody worked as a network administrator at UCLA, as a network engineer for a leading network equipment manufacturer, and as an IT manager for one of the largest Health and Fitness publishing companies. In these various roles Jody has built and maintained numerous Microsoft and Novell based networks, designed data centers, and managed IT staff. Jody holds a B.A. in English from UCLA.
